Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Indiana State University, where his commitment to academic excellence was recognized with a President’s Academic Excellence Award. Additionally, he has earned his Montessori teaching certifications in both Primary and Elementary education, solidifying his comprehensive understanding of Montessori principles.
His journey in Montessori education includes his roles as a Lead Primary Teacher as well as a Lead Elementary teacher where he championed Montessori principles for children aged 2.5 to 9. With a dynamic and nurturing approach, Michael fostered an environment conducive to comprehensive educational development, crafting individualized lesson plans to suit diverse learning needs.
In addition to his classroom experience, Michael serves as a private tennis coach and instructor, showcasing his versatility and ability to connect with students across different age groups and settings.
In his free time, you might find him building reef tanks, now totaling around 350 gallons of saltwater aquariums at home, bowling, or mixing craft cocktails. He laughs that he spends much of his time taking his son and daughter to their various sports activities. A fun fact: being from England, the first time he ever rode a school bus was while accompanying his son on a 4th-grade field trip!
