Enroll Your Child

We invite you to enroll your child at Living Montessori. Enrollment is open to all children from infant age (10 months old) through sixth grade. The first requirement in the admissions process is to schedule a tour. Tours last approximately 90 minutes and include an introduction to the program with an opportunity to ask questions, observe classroom activities, circle times and teacher-child interactions.

Requirements for the Primary Program

To join our Primary program, we ask that children are at least 3 years old and fully independent with toileting. This means they can use the bathroom independently, with no need for reminders or assistance, and rarely have accidents. We also look for basic self-care skills, like being able to dress themselves, clean up small messes, and comfortably separate from their parents. Additionally, children should be able to express basic needs, ask for help, follow directions, and understand classroom expectations. Our Primary classrooms include up to 20 children, ages 3 to 6, so children need to feel comfortable in this environment.

Early Preschool Program

For children who aren’t quite ready for our Primary program, we offer an Early Preschool program. This class is for children from 20 months to 4 years old and includes up to 14 children. Toilet training is part of this program, so children do not need to be fully independent with toileting to join. Our Early Preschool is designed to gently build the skills needed for success in the Primary classroom, including social, emotional, and communication skills, as well as independence and confidence. We nurture curiosity and provide a solid foundation in Montessori principles, just like in the Primary program.
