June is right around the corner,
what is your child doing this summer?

When you mix a child's natural curiosity and creativity with Living Montessori's rich environment and qualified, dedicated staff, what do you get? A brilliant mind, a healthy body and a happy heart.

Summer camp at Living Montessori offers action-packed programs for children ages 3-12. Our camps present creative, hands-on activities and workshops for campers, allowing your child to build meaningful friendships and thoroughly enjoy being a kid.

In Enrichment Camp, your child participates in different and exciting zones each week, which introduce him or her to a variety of hands-on experiences. Your child can also choose from various specialty camps to enhance the summer adventure!

Camps are offered for children ages 3-12. Summer camp runs from June 18, 2012 to August 31, 2012.

Enrichment Camps:

  1. Creative Arts Camp:
    Action-packed with drama, arts & crafts, music & movement and drawing & painting where your child can discover the star within! Through role-playing, creative expression and instrument exploration, your child will discover their artistic vision.

  2. Fitness and Games Camp:
    This fun, energetic camp is designed to introduce your child to a variety of individual and team sports and games to build strength, leadership, and teamwork, among other skills. Includes soccer, badminton, volleyball, basketball, lacrosse, board games, water play and more.

  3. Little Chef's Culinary & Gardening Camp:
    This camp is designed to teach the basics of nutrition and healthy bodies. Your child will discover their passion for cooking and entertaining by participating in hands-on culinary activities. This camp also includes an introduction to organic gardening, where children will have the ability to prepare meals using food grown in their own gardens.

Specialty Camps:

  1. Yoga
    Your child can achieve a natural balance of body and mind through breathing practices, gentle stretching and playful poses. Yoga relives stress, increases body awareness and enhances self-control, while guiding students on a wonderful journey of self-discovery.

  2. Dance
    Dance camp explores various styles of dance such as jazz, hip-hop and cheer. Your child learns about team spirit, while encouraging a discovery of his or her unique style in a fun and lively environment. This camp provides a creative medium for your child to develop strength, balance, coordination and confidence.

  3. Gymnastics
    Your child will tumble and flip through our fully featured gym implementing a variety of bar and mat exercises. This camp focuses on building muscle strength, bone density, coordination and balance.

  4. Fashion
    Give your child the opportunity to express his or her intrinsic style. In this camp, your child studies the history of costume and explores the decades of fashion. Incorporating different techniques, your child creates individual clothing designs.

  5. Mad Science
    Instructors provide an entertaining and educational curriculum, allowing your student to explore the world of science through hands-on experimentation. Your child learns to “think outside the box” by participating in indoor and outdoor activities.

  6. Woodworking
    Working with a skilled craftsmen, your child learns the basic tools and techniques of woodworking while cultivating skills to build his or her own unique creation.

  7. Happy Feet Soccer
    Coaches teach basic soccer techniques through fun and interactive methods including songs, stories, nursery rhymes and games. Through this program, your child develops hand-eye coordination, team building and confidence, among other skills.

  8. A Journey Through Spain
    Give your child a taste of the Spanish flair through a journey of Spain's rich culture. Expand your child's knowledge as they explore Spanish food, clothing, customs, language, geography and more.

  9. Preschool/Kindergarten Readiness Camp
    Familiarize your new student with the Montessori philosophy and style of education. Your child learns about the purpose of setting goals for the school year, the organization of the classroom and how classes are conducted. This camp introduces objectives such as grace and courtesy, and prepares students for what to expect in the coming year.
