Recipes for Your Own Kitchen  


Try these delicious recipes that are typical of the whole foods your child enjoys at Living Montessori.

2 cups cooked chickpeas
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons tahini (made from sesame seeds, olive oil, and spices; available from many supermarkets and specialty markets)
1 head of roasted garlic
2 small garlic cloves, minced or pressed through garlic press
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
Pinch of cayenne
Olive oil
Fresh parsley, chopped

  1. Place chickpeas, lemon juice, tahini, roasted garlic, garlic, sea salt, cumin and cayenne in a food processor. Process mixture and, with machine running, pour olive oil into the feed tube until hummus is smooth and creamy.
  2. Remove from food processor and garnish with parsley, paprika and drizzled olive oil.
