Fundraising
LMA is participating in a community garden fundraising activity starting early April and going until Mid May in order to bring an educational and environmentally friendly component to the fundraising process. The school is partnering with MadAboutGardening.com for a profitable, sustainable and educational fundraising program for participants of all ages. This would be a great learning opportunity and a lot of fun for the kids. The school receives 50% of every dollar earned, and the plan is to put the money back in the school garden. More details to follow via emails from the teachers or the parent communication e-mails. For more info, contact Sangeetha Visweswaran via e-mail: sangeev@gmail.com. Ms. Stephanie Bence is the teacher co-coordinator for this fundraiser.
Fundraising committee is also looking for volunteers who would be interested in giving a few hours of their time in brainstorming fundraising activities, planning, co-coordinating and seeing them through completion. If you are interested, e-mail Sangeetha: sangeev@gmail.com.

PTA Meeting
The PTA is sponsoring a consulting engagement to help the PTA define it’s vision for supporting LMA. The objective of the consulting project is to "Help the parent community collaborate in the creation of an organization that supports us and helps our children and the school be successful." The next PTA meeting, scheduled for April 14th, is the contracting meeting with the consultants. The purpose of this meeting is to review and approve the outcomes and timeline for this project. We encourage anyone interested in helping to define this vision for our parent community to attend the PTA meeting from 4:15-5:15pm. Please contact Karrie Sullivan at karriesullivan@hotmail.com with any further questions. |
