You are welcome to enroll your child at Living Montessori. Enrollment is open to all children from infant age (2 months old) through sixth grade. The first requirement in the admissions process is to schedule a tour. Tours last approximately 60 minutes and include an introduction to the program with an opportunity to ask questions, observe classroom activities, circle times and teacher-child interactions.

Tours

Early Education tours for infants through early preschool* are held most Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Sign up for a tour

Academy tours for preschool (3 years old and up and fully toilet trained) through elementary are held most Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Sign up for a tour.

Academy Requirements

In order to join our preschool program, we require that a child is at least 3 years old, fully toilet trained, which means they do not need reminders, rarely has accidents and does not need assistance with toileting. In addition, the child should have basic independence skills such as changing his/her own clothes and shoes, cleaning up small messes and be able to separate from his/her parents fairly easily. Children should be able to ask for help, express needs and wants, follow directions, understand expectations and feel comfortable in a class with 20 children, ages 3 to 6.

* Living Montessori offers an early preschool program for children who have not developed the skills expected for a preschool program. Early preschool classes have 16 children, ages 2 1/2 to 4 1/2 years and are aimed at preparing children for a preschool environment. Children do not need to be completely toilet trained in order to join this program and assistance with toileting as well as toilet training are a part of the structure. The early preschool program is designed support children to build skills necessary to be successful in a preschool program, while also providing challenging academics similar to a preschool program. Along with curiosity, confidence, independence, social, emotional and communication skills are the foundation of a child's success in the Montessori preschool classroom.
